Pay attention to whether the characters fit into societal norms or stand as outcasts, and explore any stereotypes that may be present.

To add depth, ask yourself: Can you relate or empathize with any of the characters? Do they evoke sympathy, admiration, or perhaps even envy? Consider how the author portrays them, and whether this portrayal is done directly (through explicit description) or indirectly (through actions and dialogue).

Reflect on your favorite characters, explaining what makes them stand out and how well they are integrated into the narrative. Ultimately, your review should assess not only the individual characters but also how they contribute to the larger themes and emotional impact of the book. Taking these points into account will help you create a balanced, insightful review that effectively evaluates the character elements of any novel.
