In the end, Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter is definitely one of the best Star Wars books. Darth Maul is one of my top ten Star Wars characters of all time and I was glad to get inside his head. I liked the characters and how well the characters were developed, I liked the story and the worldbuilding, and the writing and direction were really good. Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter gets 4 out of 5. Honestly, one of the best books on one of Star Wars best characters.
